Product & Brand Designer for this Ad Tech startup, which specialized in interactive ads that captured user actions within them.
First thing's first, we needed a strong landing page to show who we were and what we did. And, what we did was gather data from music fans through our own interactive ads to gauge the popularity of each band, artist, and song.
Our ads would log all of your interactions such as what songs you listened to, for how long, and much more.
Then I immediately begin working on the data portion of our business, which was the biggest part. I made two Mind Maps. One showed how our data was ingested through ads, how it was processed, and where it was stored if we wanted to handle it in-house. The second document showed how the data would be handled if we were to outsource to multiple 3rd-party companies instead.
These were polished wireframes of our dashboards showing how the data was to be displayed in-house or through 3rd-party companies.
What started off as a KeyNote/Powerpoint presentation became so dense that I ended up breaking things down and creating a mini web portal instead.
We had a logo, a color palette, but more was needed. I wanted to make our data-focused product more visually captivating. I directed a 3rd-party design firm to create these different orbs so that I could use them throughout our sales and marketing materials.
Collaborated with that same design firm to create a subtle, looping video that we could use for a lot of our interactive web properties.
After completing our first ad campaign with Daft Punk, I couldn't just deliver a bunch of pie charts (left) to our client. I had to manually reinterpret all of the data into an elegant post report.
The interactive ads were a great way to boost and maintain the business but one of my biggest goals was to make a free music streaming service where we could gather the same data but on a larger scale. This was a mock-up of that.
The 3 grayed-out logos were close contenders to be the final.
These were our business cards.
